Scary Week at Our House

So I'm sure quite a few of you already know about our crazy week. We really haven't told too many people, just because, well just because. On the Monday after Father's day, Shane wasn't feeling too well. He got ready for work, but informed me he needed to lay down and sleep for a little while. He took a 3 hour nap, and then came out to the living room. He still didn't feel good. We were talking about Colson being in a grumpy mood which he's never in. I was waiting for Shane to reply to a question I had asked him, when I looked up and saw to my utter horror Shane convulsing and thrashing sideways in his easy chair. Panic immediately set in as I jumped up and left poor Colson on the floor with a diaper half on and half off. I called 911 and tried my best to not freak out, but I was, I won't lie I was sobbing unable to do anything to help Shane. The lady I was talking to on the phone told me to try and lift him on the ground. I just thought in my head, are you crazy lady he's like6'2 and I'm 5'1 there's no way. The worst case scenarios flashed through my head as I just prayed for the EMTs to get to our house. By this time Shane was foaming at the mouth and grunting and grasping for air. The EMTs showed up and poor Shane fought the EMTs the whole time. He was so confused. They finally got him to get into a chair that moved him down our stairs and onto a stretcher. As I jumped in my car to follow the ambulance to the Hospital the EMT said Shane was finally coming out of it. By the time I got to the hospital Shane was awake and coherent. He didn't remember a thing. So Shane had a seizure. He's had tons of tests to make sure it wasn't anything serious. They still don't know what caused it. We're going to the Nerologist this week. He's doing good and staying at home recovering. The worst of it now is a torn roatator cuff in his left shoulder from when he was thrashing about.
I think that this is the saddest entry I've ever made on our blog. But we still feel so blessed that Shane is safe and back at home with us. Thanks for all the Prayers!

Won't You Be My Girlfriend?!

Our friends Broddie and Ashley just had a little girl a bit over a month ago. They came down from Montana for a weekend and we got to see Olivia. She is the cutest little girl ever. I know Colson is only 5 months old now, but it still blows me away to see the difference in size.
Colson and Liv on their first date... Supervised by both sets of parents of course!

We don't have a picture but they both ate a little dinner together too....

Putting the moves on.

It's true, we caught Colson staring at Olivia's bottom. And you had better believe we were laughing really hard, and didn't discourage it one bit! His ears crack me up in this picture.

I love My Feet

Whoever said that it was rude to put your foot in your mouth? Well, our little toe sucker could think of nothing more enjoyable or fun as sucking on his feet. They are one of his favorite treats! Seriously though he cracks me up every time he does it, and he does it a lot so you can imagine my day is full of laughing and smiling.
