I just stared at our blog today so sad because I have not blogged in quite a while (or at least it feels that way). We're just hanging out right now not doing too much. Shane's been working full time on the farm for his dad this summer, and so we really don't get to do too much stuff. We did manage to go out to dinner and a movie Saturday night. We saw Star Trek and loved it! Colson came with us and even had his own seat. He watched he first part, but started to get tired and ended up falling asleep in my arms. But we're happy to report he slept through the entire movie. Colson is most definitely a movie buff like his daddy! (It was took dark to snap a picture or else we would have!

Home Sweet Home
We have moved into our new apartment. Honestly we weren't planning on moving until tomorrow (Friday). But windy weather made it possible for Shane to slip away from work and move. We love our new apartment. As we climbed into our bed last night after utter exhaustion Shane mentioned he felt like we were actually home. This is our third place we've lived in since being married. Shane's right this apartment feels like home. It's not that the other places weren't nice, but there was just something missing, something just a little off. I'm not sure what that something is but whatever was missing is here now. We signed a year lease, so we know we'll be here for a while.

My First Mother's Day
I have to admit, it's a little weird celebrating mother's day because I'm a mom. My whole life mother's day has been me celebrating my mom. I got my gift when I woke up this morning. Shane brought them into our room after I woke up. He got Colson's little hand and foot cast in a plaster mold. Now I get to have his cute little feet forever! Even as he gets bigger :( The pictures didn't turn out very good, because the figures are all white, but you'll get the idea. I think I'm also going to change the light blue ribbons to red.

Moving on Up!
Over the past four and a half months we have called Hawker Funeral Home, home. It's been so great to live here, but we're ready to move on and so we're moving next week. We just signed a lease today. We're moving into a new development on Hunter's Loop by the Charter school in Blackfoot. Shane's excited because we'll get to have our grill for the summer time, since we will now have a balcony off of the apartment. It's a lot smaller than where we're living right now, but it's forcing us to down size and get rid of stuff we've never even used. It's kind of funny, because my sister is moving into a house at the end of May. I guess May is the month for moving!

4th Grade Here I Come!!!
So it's official, I will be teaching 4th grade next year! This was the second interview I had. Both went really well. After the interview at the second school I drove off and called my mom to discuss the job interview. Like 30 seconds into the call the principle called me and said they had forgot to ask me a few questions. So I made a U turn and went back to the school. When I walked into the conference room, the principle offered me the job! I was so excited. This will be so great. Shane's excited because I get to be his sugar mama for a while until he gets through school!!!!

The Blue Elephant Blankie
When I was little I didn't have a blankie or stuffed animal I took with me. I know a couple of my siblings did though...aka the blue bunny blanket and puppy. Well, I think with Colson's influence of his aunt and uncle he will too have a special comfort item. My mission president's wife sent him this cute little blankie with an elephant head on it. It's so soft. I'll rub it's face on Colson's cheeks and he just loves it. It's just so soft. I walked past him today and the cutie bug had a tight grasp on it. Once with his and and the other time with his arm. I swear he's the cutest baby ever, but of course he is because he's mine!

He loves his fist in his mouth.
