I've Come Full Circle

Well, this is the first of many post this week since I won't have school after Tuesday. This past weekend I've been doing a lot of reflecting. Especially Sunday during sacrement meeting. We've been in this ward since May and Shane already has a calling. He's an Elder's quorum teacher. So two Sundays ago when we got called into speak with one of the counslers in the bishopric, I knew that most likely it was for me...it was. I am now a MiaMaid adviser. Who would have thought. I myself was in Young Women's what like 6 years ago. I feel very humbled to know that my Heavenly Father knows that I can serve him in this new capacity. I feel so greatful to each of my advisers and teachers in Young Women's. I am just praying that I'll be able to be some kind of a positive influence on these girls like my leaders were for me.

Crawling Again

I couldn't find Colson last weekend as I was cleaning the house. I ended up finding him in his bedroom entertaining himself.

Driving In Cars With Babies

About two weeks ago, Shane and I found ourselves driving back from Idaho Falls with Colson. Well Colson happened to not be in the car seat mood and was wanting someone in the back with him so I climbed into the back and sat next to him. Even with me back there he was not in a good mood. The radio was on and I started singing to him and dancing really obnoxiously. We're talking arms flailing and doing every known dance move. Well to my utter joy Colson started laughing hysterically. This went on for some time when Shane started laughing pointing out that everyone was staring at us smiling and laughing as they passed us. It was at this moment that I realized I could care less. I was having a blast with Colson and we were rocking out! Who cares? Besides I'm sure people liked that they had entertainment on the I-15!

On the Hunt......

Our little guy has turned into quite the little mover. I have finally figured out how to transer our videos from our video camera to our computer to our blog, so I might go a little video crazy, but I don't care, Colson is just too darn fun to watch crawl and gaga and goo!

Eastern Idaho State Fair

Here in Eastern Idaho it's fair time. I love the fair. It's so much fun. This year was Colson's first time, and he loved it too! We kicked off fair week by going to the parade. There were lots of fun floats. There was a police car/truck/suv etc from each county in Eastern Idaho. They all had their sirins on and lights flashing. Surprisingly Colson lied most of it. There were a few times it was too loud and he wimpered a little.Daddy and Colson enjoying the parade
I'm not going to lie, I'm a pertective mom. So you can imagine how fired up I was as I turned around and saw Shane holding a sucker from the parade as Colson licked it. I guess I need to relax a little bit he only tasted it long enough for me to snap the picture. Shane threw it in the gutter after, as I lectured him about Colson being way too young for suckers.
MOOOOOOOOO GO the cows.

There was a little spot in the fair called AG-venture. I thought I would stick Colson on a tractor to see what he thought. HE LOVED IT!!!! I pushed him around and he thought it was the best thing ever. The only downer is that it wasn't a John Deere! Woops

The goats were pretty cute. At one point Colson had reached out and was petting it. "Mom this goat is freaking me out" "Do you think he wants a tin can or something?"

Ready, Set, Crawl.......

So things are just moving along here at the Polatis household. Tonight I got home from work and decided to pack up Colson's summer clothes he's grown out of. Well I put Colson on the floor and started to sort clothes. during the process I looked down, and as I did my cutie pie was on all fours and rocking back and forth giggleing. Now for those of you who have see Colson try to crawl lately you know that this is a huge improvment. He usually puts his head on the ground and puts his butt in the air. But now he's got the hang of lifting his head up! I guess I should go get all the baby proofing stuff now!!!! My bet is that within this week he'll really be crawling!!!!! I love ya little guy keep it up!!!
