1,2,3 Strikes You're Out At the Old Ball Game!!!
We went to visit the Nielson side of our family in Colorado. Shane and Colson had never gone to a MLB game so we decided it would be fun to go to their firework game. We went on the 3rd which turned out to be really good. It poured rain 2 hours before the game so the game was delayed, but after the rain the sky cleared and the night was beautiful! We had the best time.
Shane had his first baseball brat. Foot long of course. It was topped with all the onions and peppers!!!
Our happy little family. Colson kept trying to grab the ladies beer behind us. She thought he was the cutest thing and told him he needed to wait 21 more years until he could partake in the goodness. Shane commented back, yea, 21 more years or longer......
My favorite brothers!!!! Well my only brothers.

Scary Week at Our House
So I'm sure quite a few of you already know about our crazy week. We really haven't told too many people, just because, well just because. On the Monday after Father's day, Shane wasn't feeling too well. He got ready for work, but informed me he needed to lay down and sleep for a little while. He took a 3 hour nap, and then came out to the living room. He still didn't feel good. We were talking about Colson being in a grumpy mood which he's never in. I was waiting for Shane to reply to a question I had asked him, when I looked up and saw to my utter horror Shane convulsing and thrashing sideways in his easy chair. Panic immediately set in as I jumped up and left poor Colson on the floor with a diaper half on and half off. I called 911 and tried my best to not freak out, but I was, I won't lie I was sobbing unable to do anything to help Shane. The lady I was talking to on the phone told me to try and lift him on the ground. I just thought in my head, are you crazy lady he's like6'2 and I'm 5'1 there's no way. The worst case scenarios flashed through my head as I just prayed for the EMTs to get to our house. By this time Shane was foaming at the mouth and grunting and grasping for air. The EMTs showed up and poor Shane fought the EMTs the whole time. He was so confused. They finally got him to get into a chair that moved him down our stairs and onto a stretcher. As I jumped in my car to follow the ambulance to the Hospital the EMT said Shane was finally coming out of it. By the time I got to the hospital Shane was awake and coherent. He didn't remember a thing. So Shane had a seizure. He's had tons of tests to make sure it wasn't anything serious. They still don't know what caused it. We're going to the Nerologist this week. He's doing good and staying at home recovering. The worst of it now is a torn roatator cuff in his left shoulder from when he was thrashing about.
I think that this is the saddest entry I've ever made on our blog. But we still feel so blessed that Shane is safe and back at home with us. Thanks for all the Prayers!
Won't You Be My Girlfriend?!
Our friends Broddie and Ashley just had a little girl a bit over a month ago. They came down from Montana for a weekend and we got to see Olivia. She is the cutest little girl ever. I know Colson is only 5 months old now, but it still blows me away to see the difference in size.
I love My Feet
Whoever said that it was rude to put your foot in your mouth? Well, our little toe sucker could think of nothing more enjoyable or fun as sucking on his feet. They are one of his favorite treats! Seriously though he cracks me up every time he does it, and he does it a lot so you can imagine my day is full of laughing and smiling.

Shoshone Falls for Father's Day
This was a great first father's day for Shane this year. SInce I"m teaching Idaho History this coming school year we decided that we would start visiting some of the sites in Idaho. We decided to hit up SHoshone Falls. It was beautiful. We've been getting so much rain here there's water everywhere. A fun little fact about Shoshone Falls, it's actually taller than Niagra Falls! Who would have thought.

Little Trekie
I just stared at our blog today so sad because I have not blogged in quite a while (or at least it feels that way). We're just hanging out right now not doing too much. Shane's been working full time on the farm for his dad this summer, and so we really don't get to do too much stuff. We did manage to go out to dinner and a movie Saturday night. We saw Star Trek and loved it! Colson came with us and even had his own seat. He watched he first part, but started to get tired and ended up falling asleep in my arms. But we're happy to report he slept through the entire movie. Colson is most definitely a movie buff like his daddy! (It was took dark to snap a picture or else we would have!
